Parent Expectations

Parent Expectations

Junior Trevian Parent Expectations

  1. Create a Positive Community
Be positive at competitions. These are young athletes that are still learning the game – Positive parent encouragement only! Try to meet new parents on the sideline and help grow our Lacrosse Community.
  2. Cheering vs “Joy Sticking”
Example: Good job!, Nice goal!, Great Pass! Lets GO!
NOT: Shoot the ball!, Throw it!  Hit him!
  3.  Encourage outside reps away from practice – Ex. Wall Ball, push-ups, shooting… If your son or daughter are serious about furthering their Lacrosse career, they need to put extra time in on their own. Remember, excuses are like feet, everyone’s got em’ – and they all stink.
  1.  Please engage with me – my email address and phone number are available to everyone. If you need to have a conversation, please schedule a time with me outside of practice and game days. There will not be any side conversations during practices and games. Practices and games are for teaching and coaching. Please avoid interrupting directors or coaches before and especially during practices.
  2.  Buy-In – understand the expectations, trust the process, be
committed, & understanding decisions that are made by coaches
    and directors.

24 Hour Rule:  I will gladly address any issues after games or tournaments. We request that you give it 24 hours before contacting us.
